Making Life Sweeter, the Community Better, and the World Happier. Empowering communities and building a brighter future together
The Red Deer Elks (BPOE No. 85) is a cornerstone of Canada’s fraternal and charitable network, operating under the national umbrella of the Elks of Canada. Established in 1924, the foundation’s mission aligns with the broader goals of the Elks of Canada: to promote community welfare, foster fellowship, and address critical needs through volunteerism and philanthropy.
A national initiative co-managed with the Royal Purple (their sister organization), providing grants for children’s medical equipment and treatments. Local lodges, including Red Deer, contribute to this fund while addressing immediate community needs.
Partnering with organizations like Speech-Language & Audiology Canada, the foundation funds rural mobile hearing clinics and international conferences on hearing loss.
Annual events like New Year’s dances and charity auctions, alongside partnerships with FundScrip (a gift card fundraising program), ensure sustainable support for causes.
